Crews responded to a Bristol dogs home fire at 2083 Lower Notch Road on Sunday to find two dogs were out of the rubble . Bristol firefighters responded to the home around 15:30 on Sunday, said the first deputy chief Brett Largos. The house was two-thirds involved in fire when they arrived, he said.
The owners were out of town, but two dogs were at home and survived the fire Bristol dogs home, Largos said: One of the dogs, covered in soot, crawled under a blanket and was taken to the animal hospital Williston by a firefighter, Largos said. Another dog was also left under a blanket, but the owners had reached the scene and took the animal with them.
The house is considered a total loss. The cause has not been determined. Gangs of New Haven, Monotone Bristol dogs home and Lincoln also responded.
